Vision

Benoit Ipas developed a demanding relationship with materials at a very early stage. He began his career in the aerospace industry in 2008, where he acquired technical rigor and expertise in composite materials that would have a lasting impact on his work.

He then deepened this connection through specialized training in composites, exploring resin and carbon fiber as materials of artistic expression in their own right. At the same time, he taught himself a wide range of skills—including cabinetmaking, auto body repair, welding, painting, CNC machining, screen printing, thermoforming, and 3D printing—developing a multidisciplinary practice that transcends traditional boundaries.

He began by designing and crafting high-end furniture, before gradually moving away from functionality. Blueprints gave way to intuition, and technical specifications to the tension of the gesture. This shift marked a natural transition toward contemporary art.

Now a sculptor, Benoit Ipas creates works in which industrial precision blends with an aesthetic of luxury and mastery. Clean lines, controlled volumes, and impeccable finishes define a body of work in which every detail is intentional.
